Loving Lola Read online

Lola shook her head as she pushed back onto him, burying him balls-deep in her ass. “Non.” She just pulled forward and back again, softly pushing herself onto him.

With his hands on her hips, Marcus began to control the steady rhythm, only easing in a bit at a time. He tried to accustom her virgin ass to his hard cock, but soon Lola demanded more, rocking up to meet his thrusts.

He reached down and fingered her hard clit, plucking her much like his favorite banjo, releasing the sweetest melody from her parched throat. Between plucks, he lightly slapped her clit, giving her the added pressure he knew she liked. Within a few strokes and taps, Lola began to groan louder. Apparently a little clitoral stimulation was all she needed, because she went off like a rocket, pushing back onto him with all her might. He didn’t pause for her to finish. He just picked up his speed and powered into her from behind.

She moaned, rocking her ass into him. “Fuck me, fuck me.”

And he did. No longer afraid of hurting her, he moved into her ass as he had with her pussy, steady and long. Raising his palm, he slapped it against her ass check, lightly tapping one side, then the other, rocking them both with the sensation.

He began to feel the familiar tug of his balls as he neared his release. His speed increased as his cock grew, filling with the blood that had left his head. “Merde,” he groaned, pushing into her with ease now. She was accepting him, allowing him the access he needed to fuck her as deeply as he wanted. His orgasm snuck up on him, forcing him to push down deep into her bowels and erupt, shooting wave after wave of semen into her ass.

“Fuck, fuck, fuck.” He was swiftly losing control of himself. It was like she was milking every last drop out of him, turning him into an empty shell of his former self.

Easing out of her, he dropped back on the bed, chuckling when he saw Lola still sprawled in the position he had placed her in. His little angel was worn out. Sweaty and exhausted, he bet, as he brushed her hair gently from her face. Marcus reluctantly got out bed and headed into his bathroom to run a bath for her. Despite all of his intentions, he’d taken her more roughly than he’d meant to; although she hadn’t complained, he was sure she would pay for it tomorrow.

After washing up, Marcus turned on the water, adding some Epsom salt he had under his bathroom counter. He dimmed the light and turned off the water after letting it rise halfway up. Going back into the bedroom, he picked Lola up and, cradling her to his chest, carried her to the tub and eased her into it. Stepping in behind her, he pulled her to him and let the warm water soothe them both.

“Did I hurt you too much, chére?”

Lola smiled sleepily up at him. “No, although I do think I’ll skip the bike at the gym tomorrow.”

“I can give you all the workout you’ll ever need,” he teased, enjoying this time with her. It wasn’t often Lola let him take care of her, and it didn’t surprise him how much he was enjoying it. “Thank you for sharing something so special with me. I won’t ever forget it.” Unable to resist it, Marcus added the words he never tired of telling her. “I love you, bébé.”

The tension he had grown to expect every time he uttered the words to her never appeared. Instead, Lola looked at him with a grace and beauty that only she possessed, and replied, “Je t'aime aussi, chér. I love you, too.”

  Chapter Ten

“So is this what loves does to you?” Rylee pointed her fork, still dripping with dressing, at Lola. “Makes you all goo-goo eyed and unable to have a decent conversation with another human being?”

Rolling her eyes, Lola just smiled. She and Rylee had decided to have a girls’ day out, which usually meant a bigger city, a maxed-out credit card, and an afternoon of gossip. But Rylee was jumping to the chase a bit early. They didn’t even get to their main course before she started her interrogation. “I’m serious, podna. It’s like, anytime I talk to you or Marcus, you both have this look of utter and complete happiness. It’s enough to make a sane person sick.” She frowned in disgust.

“I know you’re not considering yourself sane,” Lola joked. Rylee was right, though. She was happier than she could ever remember being. If someone had told her she could be this happy -- with Marcus, of all people -- she would have thought them daft. “And besides, who are you kidding? You’re just jealous.”

“Damn straight, I am. I finally thought that now you two were together, life would be perfect.”

  “And it is.”

“Not for me, it isn’t. And you know why?”

“No, but I’m sure you’re going to tell me.”

“Because you’re not sharing any dirt, that’s why.”

Lola burst out laughing. Rylee had a one-track mind. It was probably one of the reasons they got along so well. “Dirt? What kind of dirt are you looking for?”

“Give me the good dirt. Like ... I know he’s good, but the question is, how often is he good?”

“You know, for being as inexperienced as you are, you have an awfully dirty mind. Besides, I’m a lady,” she drawled, imitating her mother’s voice exactly. “And ladies don’t talk about that sort of thing.”

Leaning forward excitedly, Rylee begged, “Oh, please, I don’t want you to talk. I want you to describe. Just give me a number. Once? Twice? Help a desperate woman out here.”

“Why are you so desperate, all of a sudden? I thought you were done with Donovan.”

“That’s right; I am done. Now I need to live vicariously through you. So tell me!”

“Non, my lips are sealed. And there are just some things I won’t talk about. There’s nothing I won’t do, though,” Lola teased, wiggling her brows.

“Bonne a rienne. I knew it. No one shines that much for no reason.” Rylee sat back with a smile. “Must be nice. It’s been ages since I’ve had anything to even talk about, let alone anything that would make me glow.”

“Well, if you’re really through mooning over Donovan -- and, might I add, it’s about damn time -- why don’t you look around. There are many men who would kill to be with you.”

“Yeah, but they don’t count,” Rylee said in disgust. “They’re too tame. Too boring or too ...”

“Too ...” Now they were getting somewhere, thought Lola. Rylee had been keeping to herself a bit more recently, and when it came to women, that always meant one thing: a man. “Come on, podna, no holding back on me. We’re not here to talk about me. I’m thinking we’re here to talk about you.”

“There’s nothing to talk about, Lo. I mean, absolutely nothing. Landon ...”

“Landon!” Lola wouldn’t have been more surprised if Rylee’d said she’d just given birth to the next messiah. “Not Dr. Demonic himself?”

Rylee groaned. “I know, I know, but I can’t help it. He walks into the room, and my pulse starts racing. He stares at me with those eyes, and I get all hot.” Rylee dropped her head into her hands. “What am I supposed to do, Lola? Talk about unattainable.”

“Unattainable. Now, that’s not exactly the word I would use to describe him.”

“He’s just so ... intense. I don’t know.” Rylee sighed. “At first I thought I might be suffering from the same sickness you and Marcus were.”

  “What’s that?’

“You know, lusting after the enemy. But it’s something different.”

Lola didn’t know that she liked her relationship being summed up like that, even if it was accurate. “How is it different?”

“I don’t know. What do you think of Landon? How would you describe him? Nicely, please,” she added, giving Lola a pointed look.

“I'm always nice.” Rylee snorted disbelievingly, causing Lola to laugh. “I’m always nice to everyone, the majority of the time. And Marcus doesn’t count. I’m really nice to him now. I like Landon. I always have. But don’t you think you two are a bit ... off as a couple?”

  “Off how?”

“Kinda like how you described it, Ry. He’s intense. You know, more-than-meets-the-eye kind of guy. You’re all out in the open. Easy
to read as a book.”

“Maybe you don’t know me as well as you think you do.”

There was something in Rylee’s tone that surprised and worried Lola. Landon was a good person, but there was just something about him she didn’t quit trust.

“Let’s get off of my nonexistent love life. When were you going to tell me about Marcus putting his building up for sale?”

Stunned, Lola dropped her fork and looked at Rylee like she’d grown two heads. “What?”

“Didn’t you know?” Rylee asked, looking as confused as Lola felt.

“No. But I can guarantee you I’m about to find out.”

“So what’s this I hear about you selling your shop?” Lola pushed past a stunned Marcus and barged her way into his house. The more she’d thought about it, the madder she’d become. How dare he even consider leaving Torrance?

“Well, hello to you, too, chére,” Marcus mocked, closing the door behind her. “To what do I owe this newest tirade?”

Lola turned around ready to read him the riot act, when she took in his appearance. Good goobalygoo, the man looked hot, literally and figuratively. Marcus was an erotic dream come true. Wearing only boxers and a smile, he was the bad boy all the mamas warned their daughters about, and the best part was, he was all hers. “Do you always answer your door like that?”

“I do when insane women come knocking at my door at eleven o’clock at night,” he teased, walking over to kiss her brow. “Is this what you wanted to talk about, chére? My lack of clothing?”

Clothing? What? Lola shook her head and got back on track. “Of course not. I’m mad at you.”

“For what now?” Rolling his eyes, Marcus acted like it was a daily occurrence.

“Rylee said you’re selling your shop, and I wanted to know why I have to hear about this secondhand.”

“Here’s a surprise for you, chére. Rylee heard wrong.” Walking past her, Marcus turned off the TV and turned back to face her.

Lola didn’t know why she suddenly felt relieved. She only been waiting her entire life to get out of Torrance, but now thinking of doing so was leaving her cold. “So you’re not going to sell?” she asked with a hint of relief in her voice.

“I actually hadn’t decided yet, but I’ve been making some inquiries around.”

“But, Marcus, why?” Lola gasped, her confusion filling her face.

Crossing his arms, Marcus looked at her strangely. “For some strange reason, I thought your reaction would be a tad bit different.”

  “Why?”

“Because you’ve been trying to walk out of here since the day you took your first step. Color me surprised that I’m confused by your sudden change of heart.”

“Were you even going to tell me?” It was silly to feel betrayed, but she did. If anyone was leaving, it was going to be her, and she had just decided to stay. Leave it to Marcus to get everything tangled into one big mess.

“Lo, you were going to come with me.”

This was news to her. “When were you going to get around to telling me?”

“Why are you so upset, chére? You’ve made it abundantly clear you want to leave here. I thought this is what you would have wanted.”

  “Well, you thought wrong.”

“Merde, woman. You give me a headache.” Marcus strolled past her and into the kitchen, leaving a stunned Lola behind him. She gave him a headache. Ha! If he thought he had a headache before, just wait until she was done with him, Lola angrily thought as she stomped after him.

“Don’t you walk away from me, Marcus Boudreaux!”

“Ey,” he grumbled, spinning around and picking Lola up, setting her on his kitchen counter. “I’ve had just about enough out of you, woman.”

Lola moved to speak, but Marcus placed his hand over her mouth. “I think you should just be quiet, if you know what’s good for you,”

Narrowing her eyes, Lola opened her mouth to bite him, but was stopped cold by the angry glare in his eyes.

“You bite me, chére, and I promise I’ll bite you back,” he warned, and for some reason, Lola was sure it wasn’t going to be a friendly bite. Stepping away from her, Marcus began to pace back and forth in front of her, muttering to himself the entire time. He seemed fit to be tied, and not in the good, kinky way, either.

Marcus stopped in midstride and turned back to Lola with fire in his eyes. “Are you purposely trying to drive me mad?”

Lola raised a brow and didn’t say a word. After a few seconds of her not answering, Marcus spat, “Well?”

“You told me not to say a word,” Lola reminded him smugly. The fire in his eyes was soon matched with the fire in his cheeks. Amused, Lola finally figured out what a perverse thrill Marcus had gotten out of teasing her for years. It was actually quite fun.

“That’s a ‘yes’ if I ever heard one.”

“May I speak now, o lord and massa?” she teased sarcastically, thickening her accent on purpose. “I’m not trying to drive you mad. I just want to know what’s going on.”

“Mais, you drive me crazy. I thought you wanted to leave.”

  “When did I say that?”

  “When haven’t you, chére?”

Okay, so he had a point, even though it wasn’t the point. “But I haven’t said it recently.” Lola was shocked to realize that was the truth.

“You are a walking conundrum; do you know that?”

“I’m not trying to be difficult.”

“Then what are you trying to do, chére?” Marcus asked, his voice close to a growl.

God, she loved this man, Lola thought. Marcus was everything she’d never known she wanted and more. “Do you love me?”

His face softened, and a weary grin spilled out across his handsome face. “Heaven help me, but I do.”

“Do you want to leave Torrance?” The more she thought about moving, the more Lola couldn’t imagine leaving home. Her family was here. Her friends were here. Dull as it was, it was home.

“It doesn’t matter where we live, as long as we’re together.”

“So, what, is this a ‘you and me together’ kind of thing?” she inquired, lifting a brow.

“As if I would have it any other way.” Marcus walked toward her, wearing his devilish smile. Lola could imagine a little boy with midnight-black hair and his daddy’s smile. Life just didn’t get better than that.

“A lifetime of you, huh? I might be able to manage.”

“Just wait, bébé. As they say on the bayou, laissez les bons temps rouler.”

Lola rolled her eyes and pulled Marcus in her for a kiss. For once the saying didn’t make her want to heave. It must be love.

She took a deep breath and opened the door. The gifts in his arms included a bottle of wine, a colorful bouquet of flowers, a box of expensive chocolates, and a large, red apple.

“I hope you're satisfied. I planned to put on a new outfit and to be perfectly made up and smelling of my favorite perfume when you arrived.” She grimaced. “See what you get instead for arriving two hours early?”

His gaze went first to her lips, and she only just managed not to squirm. Without lipstick, her lips were two toned. She saw his eyes darken as he noted her breasts, clearly braless unde
r the old top. His gaze remained on her breasts for a long time before he looked into her eyes. “You look... ah... “

  “Tacky? Unappealing? Braless --”

“Good enough to eat whole,” he interrupted. “Especially the braless part of you.” He smiled suddenly. “Hi.”

Delighted that the sight of her not-so-firm breasts excited rather than turned him off, she relaxed. She gave him a warm, lingering smile. “Hi, yourself.”

“I come bearing gifts to entice you.”

“So I see. And very nice gifts, too.” She picked up the apple and took several bites out of it, enjoying its sweetness. “I am suitably enticed.” She grinned. “This apple is a nice touch. You trying to give me a message?”

“Absolutely. You're a teacher, and I'd love to be your pet.”

She finished the apple before taking the flowers and wine from his arms. “I'll put the wine in the fridge and the flowers in water.” She nodded to the living room. “Would you put the chocolates on the table there? And please make yourself comfortable while I change.”

He put the chocolates on the table. “Don't change on my account,” he said.

She turned back to face him. “Of course I'm going to change on your account. I plan to put on an outfit that will completely dazzle you and knock your socks off.” And hopefully make his cock very hard. She sucked in a breath at the wanton thought.

He smiled. “I'm already dazzled, and I'm not wearing any socks. But if I were, I'm sure they'd have been knocked off the moment you opened the door.”

Her feelings stunned her. At thirty-two, she had imagined herself in love a few times, most notably with Marc. But never had she felt so right with a man so soon after meeting him. There she was without her face and with her breasts hanging halfway to her ribs, and instead of being embarrassed, she felt sexy as hell. It was almost as if they'd grown comfortable with each other during the course of a long, intimate relationship.

“This is not the impression I wanted to make on our first date.”
